Barbara Kaplan, ceramic artist and owner of CassieCatClayworks, is a part-time college teacher and former dean who now devotes her full time to designing and creating ceramic pieces. She lives in Bradenton, Florida (near Sarasota) where she has her studio.
Her philosophy is that people should be surrounded by beautiful things that they love and which reveal to the world their uniqueness as individuals. Creating special items that warm the heart or tickle the funny bone is the goal of Barbara’s creative venture.
The name CassieCatClayworks honors a very precious kitten, Cassie (aka “Cassandra Mary”) with whom Barbara has shared her life.
Barbara is a member of the Creative Arts Association of Lakewood Ranch, FL (www.caalr.com) and ArtCenter Manatee.
