About CAALR

Our Mission

The Creative Arts Association of Lakewood Ranch is a not-for-profit organization committed to inspiring professional visual artists. We support our members through education, resources, networking, and opportunities to exhibit their work.

Founded in 2001 as the "Creativity Group" when artists began gathering in a Lakewood Ranch park, our association has grown to include approximately 20 working artist members and over 50 supporting members. Since 2002, we have hosted seasonal art shows — our 2015 Fall Art Show attracted over 500 guests.

We also partner with local institutions for juried shows at Art Center Manatee and participate in ASID Shows in Sarasota.

Membership

Artist Members undergo a jury review process. There is a $25 entry fee for jury review. Artist members can display and sell their work at CAALR shows and events. Yearly member fee is $100.00

Supporting Members have no dues and receive email updates about shows, events, and association news. Supporting members are welcome at all meetings and events.
